Fresh Citrus Simple Syrup Drizzle for Cakes

Servings: 5 cakes

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of water
  • 1 cup of castor sugar
  • juice of 2 to 3 lemons or oranges

Instructions

  • Put the water into a microwave jug and cook on high for 1 minute and stir.
  • Add any flavouring and allow to cool.
  • Brush onto cakes as soon as they come out of the oven.

Notes

Store in airtight container in the fridge for up to one month.
